Our chosen charities for this year

Each year we like to fundraise for one or two charities that are close to our hearts. This year we have chosen:

Each year more than 20,000 children flee domestic abuse to seek sanctuary in refuge. Typically leaving home with only the clothes on their back, these children have experienced physical, emotional, and even sexual abuse and arrive at refuge with nothing.

KidsOut works to remind these children and thousands of others living with disadvantages what it is like to be children and just have fun.

Barnabus’ mission is to empower people to build new lives through finding a new home. They work hand-in-hand with the Mayor’s Greater Manchester Homelessness Action Network and Coalition of Relief, Greater Manchester Police, Manchester City Council and Big Change.

Whether it’s applying for rent deposits or making sure their friends on the streets are safe, these incredible organisations help Barnabus in their mission to end homelessness.

Each year BHF funds over £100 million of research into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Heart diseases. Stroke. Vascular dementia. Diabetes. They’re all connected, and they’re all under BHF’s microscope.

Research has given us machines that can restart hearts, the ability to fix arteries in tiny babies, the power to give someone a heart they weren’t born with, and so much more.

But heart and circulatory diseases still kill 1 in 4 in the UK, they cause heartbreak on every street. And that’s why BHF’s work is as urgent and vital as ever.

Their research is the promise to protect the people we love. Our parents. Our brothers. Our sisters. Our grandparents. Our closest friends.

Charities we work with

retailTRUST believes that the health of all of their colleagues is a foundation of the ongoing success of British retail. Since 1832 and now for almost two centuries they have been at the heart of how the retail industry cares for, protects and improves the lives of its most valuable asset – its people.

The Trussell Trust support a nationwide network of food banks and together provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.
